Easy Tips to Add Romance to Your Married Life

After years of being together, a couple unknowingly begins to take each other for granted. Life becomes busy and romance takes a back seat. This becomes detrimental for the relationship; the sooner one realizes this, the better.

After getting used to each other, couples tend to pay lesser attention to spicing up their relationship with each other. The much needed regular dose of romance becomes non-existent and the marriage suffers. Women are usually the first ones to complain about lack of romance in the relationship.

Maintaining a close, intimate bond with your partner is very important. To bring back the joy and excitement into a married life, one has to be committed towards it. It needs a lot of effort to keep a romantic relationship going. Many couples turn to counseling and tips from other married couples for this.

Some useful tips and tricks

Bringing back the romance can be an easy task. Just be creative and put in dedicated effort. Think and decide on something you can do to make your partner happy. Here are some simple ways in which you can bring back the zing and romance into your married life.

• Physical attraction has the strongest effect. So work on your body. Reduce that extra flab, get rid of body odour and make sure you smell good. Men should wear a clean shaved look with good clothes.

Women can try new hairstyle for a change. Take care of your nails, wear make-up and look attractive in front of your man. Both partners need to groom themselves well and look their best.

• Pay attention to each other's likes and dislikes. Do things that will make the other happy. Cooking his favorite meal or coming home on time from work are some examples. The moment we stop caring about each other's likes and dislikes, the marriage is sure to get ruined.

• Make surprise plans. This works like magic in most relationships. A weekend getaway or a short holiday trip is a great way to surprise the other. This way one gets to spend some private and quality time together. Again, keep each other's likes and dislikes in mind while choosing the holiday destination.

• Complement often. Appreciate each other's efforts whenever possible. Make the other feel valued and loved. If your partner does something to surprise you, appreciate it. Complementing in public can make a whole lot of difference too.

• Having quality sex is very important to bring your marriage back on tracks. Wear seductive clothes, indulge in sex games and toys and see how the magic works.

Bringing back and maintaining romance in a marriage needs consistent and dedicated effort. Having a romantic and happy married life is the precursor of all other happiness that one can enjoy in life. So, have a romantically happy marriage!

Getting Married the Second Time Around

Every bride hopes that when she marries for the first time, it will last forever. Unfortunately, this is not always the case due to unforeseen circumstances or things just not working out as planned. But the big question after a failed marriage is... can you fall in love again? Absolutely! And for some, the second time around may be even better than the first.

When it's time to plan that second marriage, many couples decide on simplicity and elegance. They are more mature at this point and likely know exactly what they want. For many, the guest list is usually smaller, with only close family and friends. I have met with several brides marrying for the second time who have remarked that their first wedding was large and lavish - something they do not want a second time around, you know the saying "been there done that".

Couples will choose a small venue perhaps a little more quaint and quiet. Most will do a ceremony on site followed by dinner and dancing. Some couples are even choosing to do a late-night candle ceremony at around 8:00pm, followed by fruit and pastries or a Sunday morning brunch. They really want to keep it scaled down but yet very elegant.

If you feel uncomfortable with guests purchasing a gift because they attended your first wedding, then choose to note "no gifts please" on your invitations. It is a thoughtful gesture on your part, but you will find most people will not walk in empty-handed anyways. Another fantastic idea would be to list your favourite charity for guests to make a donation to, in lieu of a gift. If this is not an issue for your particular wedding then of course you will be accepting gifts. You will find that many of these couples do not set up a wedding registry because they both have so many items already in their homes. This is where a honeymoon registry though would come in handy.

In terms of a wedding dress, some brides may again choose to purchase a traditional wedding dress while others will decide on an evening or cocktail gown. Just be aware that you can toss that "don't wear white the second time around" rule right out the window. Hubby may choose to rent a tuxedo or just wear a dark suit. Instead of a large bridal party you will likely see only one or two attendants maximum. The floral bouquets can be made more simple and cost-efficient, for example by carrying a classy long stem rose instead of an entire elaborate bouquet.

If there are younger children involved from a previous marriage, do your best to include them in the planning stages. Depending on their ages, they may take on the role of flower girl, ring bearer, or can perhaps do a reading at the ceremony. This will certainly help them to adjust with the new change in their lives and make them feel part of the family.

A wedding the second time around should be considered as a new beginning so don't try to plan the wedding exactly like your first. Don't wear the same dress, choose a different location, and write your own new vows. Ensure both families are part of the celebration and create a joyous atmosphere as you enter a new life with your significant other.

The Storms Of Finances In Married Life

When the storms of life hit, we are often tempted to run for cover. Be they the interpersonal relationships we strive for and always seem to miss by...that much. Or it could be the storm that defines the depth of love between a man and a woman. Or it might even be those terrible twisters know as the tornadoes of finance where you can't tell from which direction the wind is blowing, you just know there's destruction headed your way.

Try as we might, we can't outrun all of the storms in our lives. We can prepare as best we can, but mother nature makes the decision on the natural order of certain storms. We can however perform a certain storm watch to ward off the pending doom of financial suffering and disaster while they are but mere dust storms on the horizon of our lives, especially in our marriages.

What is a marriage...it is security, stability, love and trust. What does that have to do with storms you ask? Changes in the weather follows certain patterns, just like our lives, our marriages, our finances. Patterns are nothing more than plans, good or bad that develop into what what we weather. Patterns in our lives can be as devastating as tornadoes or as pleasant as a tropical storm that showers you with a gentle rain on the island of Guam. Been there... done that!

You become the storm tracker of your life when you can see the beginnings of financial failures blowing in, or relationships begin to waver and dissipate. However, when the storm warnings continue indefinitely, we struggle to find encouragement. We need help. We need something that can cover us like insurance against all the storms we've been through all these years.

When the rain and the wind gather strength until they turn into what seems to be a hurricane, we find ourselves saying, "I can't do this any longer," the truth is this: we can't, at least not alone. Come see our friends at Legendary You and discover the true meaning of relationships without having to be a storm chaser.

Except for our higher power to help us victoriously fight through the battles of life, storms will always be with us. Many will undoubtedly end up being thunderstorms full of pitching and tossing while others will be not so violent, yet they will have the same effect, causing a disruption in our daily patterns.

Nothing can cause you to weather a storm better than being prepared for it. Especially when we feel overwhelmed and discouraged. Storms seem to crop up at the most in-opportune times in relationships, marriages and even business ventures.

Some of the people who read these words are fighting one heck of a tempest with the threat of losing a loved one in a long (or short) marriage, losing a home to foreclosure, or struggling to make that first million. The storm is often an unseen enemy from a human standpoint but the consequences can be overcome. How is this storm track affecting your life?

There is an incredible sense of peace that comes from learning how to rest and be secure in knowing that you can take care of your troubles. This does not mean that you abandon the fight and just give up trying. It means that you shift the focus of your effort from your selfish self to someone who can help you really help yourself. This is where the true victory is gained. You have and will face many threatening storms. As much as we long to see the golden rays of sunshine streaming down from above after our worst storm, our marriage and relationships are the greatest opportunity we have to tell others about a financial security with unending, unconditional love and forgiveness.

The storms you face today are directly related to the joy you will experience in the future. A Friend in Business...and Life...Always,

-Lon-

Why Should I Stay Married?

People often ask: why should I stay married? Marriage, in fact reflects the basis of relationship between two persons. There are many benefits that a person can acquire with marriage. The most important thing, however, is to stay married without getting a divorce. Let us analyse what are the benefits of staying married while compared to getting a divorce.Family is the fundamental unit in our society. A good family needs good couples staying together. It is true that you can share some things in your life only to your spouse. It will give you a sense of feeling that there is at least one person to take care of your matters without compelling. No other relationship will give you more happiness than living together with your spouse. Therefore, it is essential that you should stay married to live life to the fullest with happiness.

We all seek social recognition in life. When you are married and live with a family, people will recognise you as a responsible and successful person. You will be treated with respect and your relatives will consider you as a great model for them to follow. If you live in a troubled family and start seeking for a divorce, it is true that other couples in the society give up their confidence in you and will start neglecting you. No couples want to listen the advice of a person who is divorced. At that time, you loose your value in the society and the life will become discouraging one. You will definitely notice a difference in people's attitude towards you when you go to a marriage occasion alone rather than along with your spouse. It is therefore considered in the society that a true husband and wife relationship is the basis for social recognition and happiness.

After many years of marriage you may or many not get dissatisfied in the family affairs. At the same time, you always have to think about the future of your children. Children should be taken care of by their parents. They deserve protection and affection from father and mother. It is possible only when the couples live together without seeking for a divorce. Children should be moulded by their parents and learn the first lessons of life from them. Only then, a good future can be seen for those children. It is therefore, suggested for couples to think of your children in case you are seeking a divorce. Your children should not be in a position to say that 'I don't get the affection from father or mother as they are divorced'

It is good to know that there are many couples who rejoin after some months or years of their divorce. They own real experience of the importance of staying together. Therefore they cannot ask, why should I stay married. If you start enjoying the benefits of staying together, you can never think of a divorce. There can be problems in your daily life. That is natural. The importance should be given for how to solve such problems without seeking a divorce notice.

Date Night Ideas For Married Couples

Being in love isn't supposed to be hard work, but that doesn't mean that a marriage doesn't require some effort in order to make sure it works. A big part of this is ensuring that you keep that "spark" alive, and one of the most common ways of doing this is to make sure you put aside time every week/month for a date night.

The question is, what do you do on a date with someone you're married to?

The answer is: make the other person feel special, and there are lots of ways to do this. Here are some of favourite ideas for making a date with your partner go well.

1) Book a night at the theatre, not the cinema. It doesn't have to be something high brow - there are plenty of fun contemporary comedies or musicals that you would both enjoy.

2) Find a sport you can play together, such as badminton, or joining a running club.

3) Rent a DVD, and hole up under a blanket together.

4) Stay in, but both of you make an effort. So the man must shave, find a shirt, wear shoes and turn off the TV, and the woman puts on some new lingerie and dresses up. Then cook yourselves a romantic "restaurant" dinner at home. Yes, with candles. Make the effort, is the key with this one.

5) Agree on a small sum of money, and each of you must turn up with a gift for the other one. The small sum will make you both think hard about what is most suitable for your partner. The idea is to show that you really "know" them.

6) Flowers, just because. So that means bringing her flowers for no reason, other than it being a Friday, or bringing him flowers, because nobody ever buys men flowers.

7) Every so often, get the grandparents to take the kids, book into a hotel (even if you live nearby) and enjoy yourselves. Someone else can cook, clean and wash up for one night.

8) Haven't got a whole night? Find a local spa that you can both go to, so you can sit in a whirlpool together and maybe get a bit pampered.

The most important thing with a married date night, is to make the effort. Do put on some nice lingerie. Do spruce up and put on perfume. The same is true for men - get a new pair of boxer shorts. Get that hair cut.

Make yourself look nice for each other, because you'll feel better looking in the mirror and the act of preparation will get in the mood for your romantic evening together.

One last hint - get any conversations about work, the house, the kids, etc out of the way before you both start to get ready, so that your evening can really be about romance, and not about whether the phone bill has been paid.

We all tend to put on a few pounds when we get married, but that doesn't mean that you can't still find great underwear. Bigsmalls specialises in plus size lingerie and has done since 2006. It's one of the UK's leading retailers of underwear in Sizes 18-36.

There are plenty of exciting lines of outsize underwear that can spice up married life, from corsets to stockings.

The Responsibility of a Committed Marriage: What Is The Right Age to Get Married?

Think you're ready for the commitment of marriage? If you find yourself longing to be married, really ask yourself: How ready am I?

When my husband proposed, all I kept thinking was: " Wow, this is it! This is the moment that I've helped create as a professional matchmaker for so many others!" Time stood still, or at least it felt like it. We were looking at the beautiful San Francisco bay. It was surreal. Perfect. Amazing.

I was filled with emotion, love, joy, surprise and all the other emotions that come with being proposed to. More importantly, I felt calm. Confident. Ready. Ready to love this man. I felt ready to be responsible for him, as he has promised to be for me.

We are ready to take care of one another, no matter what. We will be combining families, lifestyle, finances and the big unknown: Our future.

Being in love with someone is an amazing experience and one to be celebrated. However, just because you love someone and that feeling is returned, it doesn't necessarily mean you're ready for the adult world of marriage. Ask anyone who is married or has been through a divorce. It's a partnership. It's a team.

More and more people are waiting to walk down the aisle. No longer are the 20s the time to settle down. After all, people are living longer which means marriages will be lasting longer as well! Why the hurry?

We all know people that got caught up in the romance and decided to marry much too young to only end up divorced by the age of 40. Marriage requires experience. This means you have dated, loved and lost. You've fine-tuned your needs and learned about yourself through all of your relationships. Remember, nothing has been a waste. Every person you have met has been a part of shaping your future.

Everyone thinks they want or deserve to be married, but many are not willing to do the personal work and grow as individuals first. It's tantamount to saying you'd like your MBA, but you'd prefer not to go to school.

My time has come. I knew it would, which is why I never worried along the way when I hadn't yet found the love of my life. I really enjoyed my single years and lived each moment to the fullest.

Now that I have found him, I am ever so grateful that I did not make this decision prior to this time. He is the right man. He was worth the wait.

As a Matchmaker and Dating Coach, I was often asked why I wasn't married. My answer is was simple and honest.

I was always a great girlfriend, but only now was I ready to be a wife. Since I was not ready to be married, I chose men that were only boyfriend material. There's nothing wrong with that. I was fortunate to have had great guys in my life.

Just be aware that your choices are your own. If you are picking men that aren't ready, it just might be that you are not as ready as you think you are. This is a big pill to swallow, I know. It's only in assuming responsibility that you truly find freedom.

Until you are completely ready to be someone's wife and all that comes with it, you need to know that the universe is taking care of you. Perhaps you aren't married yet because you have work to do. Timing is everything. You can't force it or make it happen just because you want it to. This is one time that you cannot impose your will to manifest change in your life.

As I look toward my future of being this man's wife, I can feel the maturity that it will take to get us through the years. It's a lot to take on.

My advice is to respect marriage and don't enter into it until you yourself have matured. No one is going to come along and make you happy. Be happy on your own first. Trust me, you'll attract a better partner.

If you are single right at this moment, enjoy it! It won't last. Love finds you and when it does, it happens quickly. Stop mourning your single status and get out and enjoy life, your friends, your individuality and your freedom. If you are constantly trying to find your future, you will be missing out on the precious moments life is offering you.

Why Do Married Women Flirt With Other Men? Understanding Your Wife's Behavior

Why do married women flirt with other men? You're asking that question from the perspective of a man married to one such woman, yes? Your wife is a flirt and she's not afraid to show it. Maybe you tell her that it bothers you or perhaps you keep that to yourself for fear of starting an argument you're not certain you can win. Regardless, you're not happy about the fact that your wife seems incredibly comfortable flirting with any attractive man she sees. Is this a sign that something is amiss in your marriage? Does it mean that your wife is on the brink of leaving you or is it just harmless fun? Understanding your wife's motivations will help you gain clarity and will also give you the insight you need to make this problem disappear if it's truly bothering you.

Many married women flirt without fully realizing that's what they're doing. That sounds suspiciously like an excuse, doesn't it? It's not. Women, as a whole, tend to be a compassionate and friendly bunch. What one woman may perceive as just kindness can easily be misinterpreted by her husband or another man as flirting. Take for instance when a woman compliments a man on his suit. To her she's just sharing the knowledge that she truly admires his fashion sense, but to him it may come across as a personal compliment that is meant to grab his attention. If your wife hands out compliments to other men fairly easily consider the idea that she may just be genuinely kind and may not be aware of the other message that she's sending.

Marriage can become stale. For a woman who feels under-appreciated by her husband the thrill of flirting with another man can make her feel desired and accepted. If she doesn't get the attention she wants within the confines of her own marriage, she may go looking outside for validation. This is often the case when a woman takes her martial dissatisfaction online and flirts with other men. If your wife seems giddy after being on the computer, chances are very good that somewhere there's a man who has the same grin on his face because your wife has made him feel cherished and special. Obviously, the flirting can also occur in person so keep your eyes out for any man who seems to be paying a bit too much attention to your wife.

Self esteem issues can happen regardless of a woman's age or the length of time she's been in a committed relationship. If your wife's body image isn't pleasing to her, flirting may be a way of covering that up. A woman's self worth can take a hit if she gains a few pounds or if she feels that her husband is always looking at other women. A wife in this position will sometimes look to other men as a way of showing herself that she's still worth pursuing. You can typically tell if this is the reason behind your wife's love of flirting if she's constantly questioning you about whether you love her or still find her attractive.

Of course, there's always the possibility that your wife is just a natural born flirt. If she is, you're already well aware of this because you probably were the focus of her flirting at some point in the past. She may just enjoy the thrill of putting a smile on a man's face with a few harmless words to boost his ego. If she's open and honest about it, count yourself fortunate. You need to start worrying if her flirting antics are taking place behind closed doors or beyond your line of sight.

Saying or doing the wrong thing can actually cause your wife to feel even more distant from you. You can make your wife fall back in love with you, all over again.

You don't have to worry about whether your wife is on the brink of asking you for a divorce. You can control the situation and use specific techniques to naturally make her fall hopelessly in love with you.

What Age Should You Get Married?

I read an article that Justin Bieber has set an age limit of 25 for when he wants to get married and start a family. He's 17 right now. To me this brings back memories of my teenage friends dying to get married as soon as possible, and me perfectly happy being single and living my life with marriage being an issue.

Is there an age limit that you should set out for 'settling down' and having a family, or should you just live your life as you go along and figure out when the time is right by letting it come. I personally believe in the latter.

I have many friends who got married and had kids young only to realize that 'settling down' is not what they really wanted years later. Their taste is men or women changed and their beliefs and needs changed as well - unfortunately their partner stayed the same as when they first got married and they just eventually grew apart.

I also have friends who got married young and are happily married still. They've enjoyed their marriage right from beginning to where they are now and they have never looked back or regretted a moment.

So what's difference? What is the factor that decides when you are ready to get married?

Wanting Versus Feeling Required

I think a lot of problems start once you feel like you have to get married but don't want to get married.

One thing I've noticed is that many people get married and have kids because it is expected of them. Whether it's a religious expectation or their family putting pressure on them, they succumbed to the fact that they are 'supposed' to get married and have kids, even if they don't totally feel like doing it yet.

I personally never had this problem. Just because someone excepted something out of me didn't decide whether I was doing it or not. For instance, all my friends were getting married and my dad was talking about the day that he was going to have grandchildren, and all I could think about was how I didn't want to get married and have kids but how I did want to please my parents and friends.

The pressure never overtook the desire not to get married and have kids, and today I am thankful that I didn't give into it because I'm still not concerned about getting married, and I still don't want kids. I'm not saying I'm not in a loving and committed relationship, but I don't have the need to please everyone by getting rings on our fingers and walking down the aisle.

If the feeling of wanting to get married or have kids ever came to me then that would be a different story! But it hasn't, and I don't think I would be truly happy if I were being untrue to myself.

I'm not saying that some people don't get married out of pressure and end up being happily married in the end. That can happen as well. But I do think you have a better chance of being happily married if you want to be married in the first place!

Is there a specific age in when that's going to happen? No. Justin Bieber can't predict when he's going to be ready to be married. It could be 2 years from now or 20 years from now. He's setting a goal based on what he's seen and believes about life, but he doesn't know the exact moment that he will feel the desire to get married and settle down, or if that moment will even come. Nobody does. But that moment should be the deciding factor, not pressure.
