Date Night Keep the Romance Alive

Date Night. Do you remember even how to say the words. Let along the last time you have been on one. Could it be that before you were married you faithfully did date night. Even after you were married. Then the baby came. And all you could think of was getting some sleep.

Or could it be that you use to go out on dates but then the money got funny and it was just a matter of we just can't afford.

Whatever the reason we need to reestablish date night.

Why? For our own sanity, for our own health, for the sake of our marriage and because we deserve it. So stop feeling guilty and schedule a date night.

You don't even have to leave the house to have one. If you are like some who don't have family near them and just don't want to leave the kids then do one at home.

1. Rent a movie, put the kids to bed and snuggle on the couch. Try a comedy or a romance. Nothing to girly so your guy will enjoy it.

2. Order take out and spread a blanket on the floor and have your own little picnic

3. If you like to cook make a candlelit dinner and you both dress up or down for it your choice.

4. Do a wine tasting at your home. Go to a store a pick up a couple different bottles of wine don't forget the cheese and chocolate maybe even some fruit and taste different wines

5. Do a beer tasting at home same thing as above but maybe you are not wine drinkers

6. Play a game. Cards, board games make up games.

7. Watch the DVD of your wedding

The point is to spend some time together it doesn't matter what you do just reconnect. Hey no talking about bills, money, or any problems. Just you two.

What if you want to go out and money is the issue. How about starting a date jar. Its a jar that you set up and you put a dollar in it everyday. Now you can both add a dollar a day and by the end of the month you will have between 30-60 dollars to spend on date night.

Then take the money and go on a date. To make your money go faster sign up for emails from your favorite restaurants we signed up for Macaroni's and got a free dessert coupon and five dollars off.
